"We have different gifts according to the grace given to us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully."
Hey, I'm Ashley!
I really love Jesus, superheroes, dolphins and being at the beach. Nothing is more calming to me than to sit by the beach & listen to the sounds of God's creation. Since I don't have a beach anywhere near me I have been known to listen to my "sounds of the ocean" CD quite often! I am 23 years old & a dog mom to my fluffy five year old Goldendoodle named Toby. I am slightly addicted to eating Reese's & I love painting with watercolors! I also love to listen and sing to music of all kinds (despite my terrible singing voice 😉). I find joy in spending time with people and investing into their lives. My hope is that my passion for investing into other people carries over to my photography.
I knew when I was first starting my business I wanted to be able to really show my heart for God and do my best to glorify Him in every aspect of my photography. When I was deciding on a name I wanted to incorporate the word "grace". I went back and
forth on several ideas until one day I was discussing it with my mom and grandma (aka. Granny) and Granny came up with the best name...Shining Grace Photography! I loved it and I knew it was perfect for my business. This past year in particular, I feel like God has really shown me the meaning of His grace and the importance of having grace for other people. It has definitely given me an even deeper appreciation for the name I chose for my business.
My photography style uses natural light and focuses on capturing who you are! I don't like posing you in uncomfortable & unnatural poses. I want your photos to be light hearted and relaxed. I focus on the beautiful, candid moments that naturally occur by just being yourself. Years from now, I want your photos to spark great memories, telling the story of you & the moments that were important enough in life to capture forever!
My entire life I have been absolutely in love with Dolphins! I have a growing collection of dolphin items that friends and family have given me over the years. In this picture, I had spent the day working as a dolphin trainer. It was one of the most memorable days of my life. My dolphin friend here is Beetle and he painted that beautiful canvas! Each of the dolphins had their own unique personalities and I had so much fun getting to know them!
I mentioned I love superheroes but Spidey has always been my favorite. As a kid I was the girl having Spider-Man birthday parties. As an adult I had the privilege of having breakfast with Stan Lee, the creator of Spider-Man, which was definitely a dream come true for the kid in me! He had so many fun stories to tell and he signed a watercolor Spider-Man painting I had painted. He is 94! Can you believe it?
Toby is a Goldendoodle & he is five years old! I got him during my freshman year of college as a puppy. Back then I could carry him around in my arms. Now, Toby is about 90 pounds of fluff and love and almost bigger than I am! He makes a great hiking buddy and he loves to play! Yes, he is named after Tobey Maguire from Spider-Man.
